The session picked up immediately where the previous session ended, in the heat of battle with a terrifying Child of Dracul, one of the high ranking members of the Children of Dracul cult.
Sybil, a Gorgon, was maintaining her position inside a glowing magic circle while her minions and the Dwarven Usurper Blackhammer kept the part occupied on the larger platform across a narrow bridge.
The fight was gruelling, with Sybil targeting members of the Whiplash with her vicious bow bringing the party to the brink of defeat, and her petrifying gaze to turn the teams Paladin, Tav, to a statue.
Things looked perilous, when through some quick thinking from the party, the Wizard, Verity, summoned several abominations behind the Gorgon to distract her, while the Warlock, Fidelus, used their familiar pact bond to cast greater restoration, freeing Tav from his stoney fate.
With the party finally on the offensive, they made quick work of Blackhammer, knocking him out, but keeping him alive to bring forth to the true King of the Dwarves for justice. They also wiped out most of Sybil's minions still left on the battlefield.
This left only one thing to do - take out the Gorgon. Grimlu, the party Rogue/Monk/Ranger hybrid used the distraction from the summoned abominations to sneak up behind Sybil and strike her down.
